Welcome back to the 2012 school year.
I hope all of our students have had a wonderful vacation. I am so proud to see how many of them have grown into mature 'young adults' and ready to take on the responsibilities and commitment to school.
I have had a wonderful break and enjoyed my long service leave immensely! The best part was spending so much time with my family.
I have been welcomed back from my leave by staff and community members, and still feel very much a part of the Norseman community.
This year the school is very privileged to have five new fabulous staff members, who join our experienced staff at the school. Our new staff are: Mr Robert Cross (Health and Physical Education), Mr Bruce Bromley (Mathematics and Science), Ms Connie Walker (English and Society & the Environment), Ms Lucinda Thomas (Pre-Primary) and Ms Marie Peters (Numeracy Specialist and LSC).
We look forward to a great 2012 with many things happening at Norseman DHS.

The National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) will begin on the 15th May 2012
Students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will particiapte in NAPLAN.
NAPLAN tests students in the areas of Reading, Writing, Language Coventions (such as spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy.
